Where is The Islander Lodge located?
The Islander Lodge is stationed approximately 30 miles offshore at the Chandeleur Islands in the Gulf of Mexico.
How do I get to The Islander Lodge?
You can arrive in your own boat, or we can help arrange transportation by boat or seaplane through trusted local partners.
Do I need a boat to fish the Chandeleur Islands?
No boat? No problem! You can rent one of our 14-foot, 3-man skiffs or enjoy wade fishing directly from the island beaches and flats.
Are meals, Drinks, and Snacks included?
Yes. Each day starts with a hearty breakfast of eggs, meats, French toast, and grits, plus coffee, milk, or juice. Lunch includes options like burgers, wraps, cold cuts, and cookies. Dinner features bold flavors—Creole, Cajun, BBQ, Italian, Mexican, and fresh seafood—served with sides, dessert, and your favorite drinks.
We also have an open bar available.
What kind of fish can I catch inshore?
Inshore waters are full of speckled trout, redfish, flounder, black drum, and more—perfect for wade fishing or skiff fishing.
What can I catch offshore?
Offshore opportunities include red snapper, mangrove snapper, grouper, cobia, king mackerel, amberjack, mahi, and jack crevalle.

Is there a minimum group size to book?
No. However, groups of less than 6 are tentative until match match you with another group.
Groups of 6 or more are highly encouraged.
Will I be sharing a room with other guests?
Possibly, unless your group books a private room. Groups of 6 are guaranteed a private room. Groups of less than 6 might be paired with another group. Please call if you have a group of less than 6,
What are the lodging accommodations like?
There are four 6-man bunk rooms. All with bedding, Wifi, and two of the rooms have their own showers and two rooms share a bathroom/shower.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in begins at 3 PM. Check-out is at 11 AM after breakfast on your departure day.
Is alcohol included?
Yes. We provide an open bar while you’re on board. If you want drinks while fishing, you can bring your own cooler and supplies.
Can I bring my own food or drinks?
Yes, especially for use during your fishing trips.
Can I take my fish home?
Yes. Louisiana and Mississippi state laws apply. But you can keep whatever you harvest legally.
Is night fishing allowed?
Absolutely. We offer 90 feet of illuminated dock space perfect for night fishing.
Are children allowed?
Yes, but this environment is best suited for older children and teens who enjoy fishing and outdoor adventure.
Do I need a fishing license?
Yes. A valid Louisiana fishing license is required and should be purchased in advance. Also, if you will beparting from Mississippi and returning to Mississippi, you should have a valid Mississippi fishing license as well.
What do I need to bring?
We recommend bringing your own fishing gear, a small cooler for drinks/snacks while fishing, personal items, sunscreen, and any preferred tackle or bait.
